Our weekly salsa club in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is a vibrant dance event held every Friday at Greenwood Park Community Centre, Tippendell Lane, Chiswell Green, AL2 3HW. From 7:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., enjoy salsa, kizomba, and bachata classes with rotating expert teachers, followed by freestyle dancing with top DJs. We also host a monthly Sunday Social with Mish and an annual Charity Day. Beginners and experienced dancers of all ages are welcome to join our inclusive community.

Our Friday night classes, monthly Sunday Social, and special events encourage solo attendees, with partner rotations during classes and Dancing to ensure everyone learns and connects. Whether you’re new to salsa, kizomba, or bachata, you will feel welcome in our St Albans dance community.

Entry to our weekly Friday salsa club is £15, to be paid in cash on entry. This includes all classes 7:30 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. and freestyle dancing until 1:00 a.m. Monthly Sunday Social with Mish is £10 Free if you get a ticket by attending the Friday just before the event. Yes, beginners are welcome! Our Friday night classes include Salsa Beginners 8:50 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. Kizomba Beginners 8:00 p.m. - 8:50 p.m. Bachata Beginners 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. taught by our rotating team of expert instructors.  The monthly Sunday Social with Mish is also beginner-friendly, There is no better way to learn than Dancing and get into the deep end. This is what many people picture when they think of traditional salsa. •  LA-style / Colombian influences — Faster-paced, flashy tracks that suit linear salsa styles, often with a touch of cumbia flavour. •  Plus occasional merengue for a fun, upbeat change of pace. Interspersed with the salsa, you’ll hear Bachata — the smooth, romantic Dominican rhythm famous for its melodic guitar and sensual feel. Our DJs mix bachata romántica (classic and emotional) with bachata sensual (modern and flowing), so whether you love close, intimate dancing or more playful footwork, there’s something for everyone. The Kizomba Room For a more intimate and sensual vibe, head to our dedicated Kizomba room. Here the music is smoother and more grounded. Our rotating Kizomba DJs play the best of: •  Kizomba — The passionate, wave-like rhythms from Angola, often featuring deep basslines and romantic vocals. It’s perfect for close partner work and flowing body movement. •  Modern fusions including Kizomba remix, Afro house influences, and occasional Zouk or Tarraxinha tracks that add variety while keeping the sensual flow. Because we have rotating DJs every week, each night feels fresh. Different DJs bring their own flavour and signature tracks, so even regular dancers discover new favourites while enjoying all the most common and beloved songs from each genre.
